Nothing makes a wedding more special that two people eagerly waiting to spend the rest of their lives together. After saving up to buy a ring, formulating a flawless proposal, planning the biggest party of your life, and spending all morning making sure you look like perfection, seeing the person you are about to marry might be one of the most exciting moments we ever get to experience. These “First Looks”, as we call it, can happen in so many different ways….but it’s usually more fun when the groom has to earn his privilege at the mercy of the bridesmaids! With an entourage like Wendy and Wallace’s, this task wasn’t going to be easy.

After the morning prep was finished, the men showed up at Wendy’s home ready to face their challenges. Little did they know it involved lipstick, a picture of Wendy taped to the ceiling, and eight grinning bridesmaids prepared to make these traditional “door games” pure entertainment for the rest of us. After Wallace was dosed with a good amount of pretty pink on his lips, he was lifted by his groomsmen to smooch the picture of his bride on the ceiling, all while Wendy was watching the whole thing happen via Facetime! After several exhausting attempts, the ladies were eventually satisfied with the groom’s efforts to “kiss the bride”, and Wallace was finally allowed to see his beautiful prize. I love how her door was wrapped with a bright red ribbon — it felt just like Christmas morning!

They exchanged gifts on the limo ride over to the Boston Public Library for some pre-ceremony portraits. I love this priceless reaction when Wallace opened his gift and revealed a “Pro Thumb Wrestling Arena” for their frequent thumb wars! “He always cheats!” exclaimed his bride (smile).

It was such a pleasure witnessing their joy and the start of their lives together. Congratulations, Mister and Misses! We hope your marriage is filled with daily laughter, loving moments, and friendly thumb wars (smile).
