Lake Oak Meadows Wedding Photos // Paola + Michael – San Diego Wedding Photographer | Los Angeles Wedding Photography
After spending so many weekends at airports, living out of suitcases, and crossing time zones (with unending jet lag), it was so refreshing to wake up in our own bed, eat breakfast at our favorite café, and take a pleasant drive to our neighboring town of Temecula. Paola and Michael chose to have their wedding in Southern California’s own little wine country to welcome their guests who were traveling in from all over the world for this celebration. With the beautiful weather, warm sunshine, and charms of Lake Oak Meadows, it was a treat for both traveler and local alike.
Paola wore a beautifully glamorous gown that she had custom-designed in the Philippines, which left just about every girl on site (and Michael, of course) absolutely speechless. With a sparkly pair of Louboutins and a heavenly laced veil, her dreamy ensemble was picture perfect for her journey down the aisle. And Michael welcomed her at the other end with tears he could no longer hold back (smile).

Paola made a dramatic entry to the ceremony as each groomsmen ushered her down the staircase one-by-one, and her sister did all that she could to take care of her infinitely long veil! They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony that also included their cultural cord and veil traditions, and by the end of the long formalities, Michael couldn’t wait to kiss his bride. With just a few minutes to spare, we took advantage of the stunning sunset and captured the radiant bliss of the newlyweds. And seriously, they never looked happier.
Celebrations took place under clear skies and a darling display of string lights that set the tone for their quaint wine country wedding. After the bridal party kick-started the fun with a surprise choreographed dance, the rest of the evening was both emotional and unexpectedly humorous!
That night as we returned to our own bed in our own home, we looked back on the day and couldn’t help but be thankful for the privilege to take part in such a beautiful event. And though we didn’t have to travel far for this wedding, it still would have been a trip worth making.
