Hermann-Grima House Wedding Photos // Melissa + Ali – San Diego Wedding Photographer | Los Angeles Wedding Photography
New Orleans, Louisiana—what a beautiful city to have a wedding! We fell in love with the pastel-colored buildings, painted shutters, and of course, the unique vibe of the French Quarter. Melissa and Ali did not hesitate to include classic staples of the city into their wedding, serving beignets for dessert and bringing colorful mardi-gras-inspired feather boas to liven up their party at the Windsor Court Hotel
It was a totally unique wedding from the start. While we are normally used to seeing the groom and groomsmen cheering on their favorite sports team before the ceremony, Melissa and her Michigan fans were glued to the TV even between putting on a fabulous white gown and her Swarovski-adorned veil! The groomsmen, on the other hand, were Ali’s nephews, who brightened up the morning with a few all-too-cute kiddie moments (this was their first time standing in a wedding, after all!) And of course, some overly-emotional bridesmaids always make the party more fun for everyone (smile).

They held their ceremony at the historical Hermann-Grima House in the French Quarter. Their guests sat between a small grove of orange trees in the courtyard, serenaded by a true New Orleans jazz band for a classic Louisiana experience. The ceremony was sweet, simple, and full of surprises. Are these not the cutest flower girls you have ever seen? (smile)
